千葉県、外房という範囲の中でも南房総市という南部に位置する「和田港」という釣りポイント。
港としては中規模の漁港ですが、近隣の4つの漁港が合わさって現在の和田港となっており、港内は湾が入り組む形で複数の釣り場が存在しています。
周辺への配慮・確認が必要ですが、駐車スペースが港内・埋立地周辺に点在し各地から釣り場までの距離も近いため車釣行派には嬉しい場所。
また、海面までの距離が近いながらも足元の水深は4-5mほどあるため家族でのサビキ釣りに適した釣り場とも言えます。

港の東側から伸びる赤灯堤防の先端付近にあるポイント。
堤防付け根付近に駐車場がありますが、そこから先端まで500m以上ありますので、行くまでの時間は少々かかります。
ただし、長堤防の先端付近というだけあって潮通しは良好で魚種・実績ともに和田港では一番高い。
ココでの釣りのターゲットは、
- ウキフカセ釣りでのクロダイ・メジナ
- カゴ釣りでのソウダガツオ・イナダ・カンパチ
- チョイ投げでシロギス
- サビキ釣りでアジ・イワシ（6月から）
- ルアー釣りでのシーバス（4-6月）
となっています。
カゴ釣りでは外海側に見える沖テトラの方向で高実績。
ただし、目の前が往来する船の航路になっているため、キャストする際は細心の注意が必要です。
また、シーバス釣りではフローティングミノーかバイブレーションの実績が高いとのこと。

ポイント2
ポイント1の赤灯堤防中間地点に位置するポイント。
こちらの場合、港内側は浅瀬で魚影も薄く基本的にはテトラ上での外海側の釣りになります。
とはいえ、外海側も浅い岩礁帯が続くエリアのため干潮時は釣りにならないため満潮時に行うことが前提となります。
ココでの釣り物は、
- ウキフカセでのクロダイ・メジナその他ウミタナゴなど
- ソフトルアーでのカサゴ
などがメインです。
また、この地点はイシダイのぶっ込み釣りの場所としても有名で、海底に入っているミゾめがけて仕掛けを投入し狙っていく。
カサゴをソフトルアーで狙う場合、軽量ジグヘッドにテールのついたワームをセットし落とし込むと高確率。

もしくはテトラ際で釣りができそうな場合は、ブラクリ仕掛けで穴釣りで狙ってみても面白いで
す。

魚市場前の岸壁から伸びる堤防の先端付近のポイント。
意外にも水深は深く、6.5m程もあり魚種・釣法は様々に楽しむことができます。
ココでの釣り物は、
- ウキ釣りでのクロダイ・メジナ
- サビキ釣りでのアジ・イワシ・ウミタナゴ・メバル
- チョイ投げでのシロギス・メゴチ（7月から）
そして、8月頃から面白くなるのが朝マヅメにルアーで狙うカマス・メッキのルアーフィッシングです。2インチ前後のソフトルアーで高実績となっています。

港内の西側から伸びる堤防（真浦新堤）の途中から伸びる堤防突端付近のポイント。
更に外海側に伸びる長い堤防がありますが、そちらは手前にフェンスが張られており立ち入ることはできません。
ここでは6月頃からのサビキ釣りがメインでアジ・イワシの他に季節が1年の後半に差し掛かってくるとウミタナゴ・メバルも釣果に混じるようになってきます。
またメバリング・アジングファンは是非このポイントでルアーを投げてみていただきたいのですが、このポイントでの夜釣りの実績が高いと評判。
オーソドックスな攻め方は軽量ジグヘッドに1～1.5インチの小さめのストレートワーム。
