都心から常磐自動車道を使っておよそ2時間強の距離にある茨城県の「川尻港」。
南北を砂浜の海岸に囲まれていながらも海底は砂地帯のみならず藻や岩礁帯が点在し、魚種豊富な環境を作り出しています。
砂地帯に多いシロギス・マゴチなどの他に、堤防側ではメジナ・クロダイ・スズキ、足元ではサビキでのアジ・イワシなどオーソドックスな釣りなら何でも対応できるところが魅力のポイント。

ポイント1
川尻海岸に隣接する突堤の先端にあるポイント。
先端の細い部分は立ち入り禁止になっていますので、注意が必要です。
足元の水深が5mほどあり、さらに潮通しがよく様々な魚種が釣れるポイントになっています。
サビキ釣りでのアジ・イワシに加えて、サバも釣果に加わってきます。

港内側へのチョイ投げ・投げ釣りでイシモチ・シロギス・カレイを狙うことができます。
ポイント2
駐車場からほど近い魚市場の目の前にあるポイント。
こちらのポイントではもっぱら足元でのサビキ釣りでアジ・イワシを狙うことができますが、季節は6月以降が実績が期待できます。
こちらからでもチョイ投げでシロギス・カレイなどを狙うことができます。
ポイント3
港の南側から伸びる堤防の突端・白灯下に位置するポイント。
外海側に広がるテトラポットはサイズが大きく高さがあり危険ですので、足場の良いところを選択するほうが良いでしょう。
- 投釣り：カレイ・イシモチ
- ウキ釣り：クロダイ・メジナ
- ルアー：シーバス
と様々な釣法でターゲットを決めることができます。
イナダは9月頃、サヨリは11月からがシーズンとなります。
ポイント4
南側堤防突端前にあるポイント。
高台になっているところから下段に良足場が存在しますが、梯子やロープが無いときは高さがありますので降下するのは危険ですので、控えましょう。
降りることができれば、ウキ釣り・ヘチ釣りでクロダイ、サビキ釣りでアジ・イワシを狙うことができます。
ポイント5
南側堤防の中腹付近にあるポイント。
こちらのポイントにおける外海側のテトラは高さが低いため、少々難易度は下がる。
テトラにて穴釣り・ヘチ釣りを行うとカサゴ、アイナメ、メバルなどを狙うことができます。
港内側では足場良く釣りを行うことができ、アジ・イワシ・メバルなどをサビキ釣りで狙うことが可能です。
