興津川・東川と流れ込む河川が存在する影響で魚にとっての栄養源が豊富で魚影が濃く、魚種も多彩な釣り場になっています。
港内中央の魚市場付近は駐車場・トイレともに近く、且つ足場も良いため家族連れの釣行が行いやすい場所になっています。
また、東側の堤防突端は特に魚種が豊富で人気度が高いため、魚種・釣法ともにたくさんの選択肢があります。

堤防東側の突端に位置するポイントでこの釣り場内では最も沖に位置しています。
イシダイ・クロダイ・メジナの実績がとても高いため人気の釣り場になっています。
その他、秋の季節にはタイミングがあえば、イナダ・カンパチ、サヨリが回遊してくることも。

ポイント2
漁協の魚市場前に位置するポイント。
魚市場の真ん前では、日中の釣りは禁止になっていますが、若干東より・テトラ側のポイントは駐車場から近いこともあり足場も良いため、ファミリーに人気の釣り場でもあります。
サビキでアジ・イワシなど釣って楽しい、食べて美味しい魚種が釣れる他、メジナやクロダイなども狙うことができる面白いポイント。

ポイント3
突端に白灯が存在するテトラ堤の中腹に位置するポイント。
テトラからの高さがそれほど高くないため、足元に注意が必要ですが、それを押してでもチャレンジしてみたいくらいの魚影の濃さ。
波が穏やかなタイミングでクロダイが高実績のようで、通常のサビキ、ウキ釣りでもアジ・イワシの他、ウミタナゴ、メジナも釣れてくる。

ポイント4
こちらも駐車場・トイレからほど近いポイントですが、堤防の幅が狭いためファミリーに不向きかも。
こちらではアジ・イワシをサビキで狙える他、夜釣り＆エギングでアオリイカの実績もかなり高いとのこと。
この岸壁周辺でもアジング・メバリングを行うことができ、専ら夜釣りの釣果が良好となっています。

ポイント5
ポイント北側に位置する釣り場。近場の駐車場の他、北側・国道方面に数分歩くだけで興津港海浜公園があり、そちらは無料の駐車場、トイレがあり、利便性はまずまず高いです。
水深は4m強とそれほど深くはありませんが、サビキでアジ・イワシ、ウキ釣りでメジナを狙うことができます。
ただし、強風の日は波が足場まで上がってくることがあるようで注意が必要です。
